About the role/project

We are looking for a Project Manager to join us on a 12 month maximum term contract to be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a project that focuses on improvements of the end to end insurance claim process and supporting environment, with an additional focus on vulnerable and First Nations members. This project spans multiple business units and will deliver both technical and non-technical outcomes.
 
Key Accountabilities

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of one or more projects
  • Deliver projects to agreed scope, objectives, KPIs (time, cost, quality, satisfaction, and compliance).
  • Provide formal project closure and ensure benefit realisation into business areas.
  • Optimise change readiness and ensure teams are aligned and implementation-ready.

Project Leadership

  • Provide effective leadership to project teams to inspire, motivate, and maximise potential.
  • Lead cross-functional teams with strong awareness and collaboration.
  • Resource planning, reporting, and insights.
  • Enhance project management capabilities by contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Establish and maintain sustainable relationships with key stakeholders (Project, Business, Technology, Members, Employers, Partners).

Governance & Compliance

  • Actively apply project governance and controls across scope, schedule, financials, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and quality.
  • Maintain adherence to the Project Management Framework, including use of governance structures, templates, tools, and quality assurance.

Communication & Reporting

  • Accurately track and report on project performance and progress.
  • Ensure high-quality documentation standards, including timely distribution of meeting papers, agendas, and minutes.

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Actively manage contracts and agreements in accordance with procurement policies and guidelines.

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in project management or a similar discipline, preferably within the financial services industry or a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience working on projects within the superannuation or insurance industries.
  • Experience working on projects focused on insurance claims and/or vulnerable and First Nations customers highly regarded.
  • Proven track record in delivering change initiatives using both traditional project management and agile techniques.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management qualification (highly desirable).
  • Experience leading and managing resources across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, in full, within budget and to quality expectations.
  • Strong results orientation with a continuous improvement mindset.
