Findex are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Enterprise PMO (EPMO). This is a permanent, full-time role, flexible on location within Australia for the right person.

The Senior Project Manager plays a critical leadership role within our EPMO, responsible for transforming Wealth Management ways of working by digitising and automating end-to-end processes across a large and diverse organisation.

You will be accountable for shaping and delivering solutions that lift adviser and client experience, streamline workflows, improve compliance robustness, and unlock operational efficiency. Working closely with subject-matter experts, delivery teams, partners, and senior leaders, you will ensure a scalable and modernised future-state process that aligns with business strategy and regulatory requirements.

Your role, your contribution!   

  • Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle—from Discovery and current-state assessment, through Design and solution definition, to Implementation, stabilisation, and Hyper-care
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and close project phases using best-practice delivery frameworks, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and to required quality standards
  • Drive business process redesign to digitise workflows and enable automation, ensuring solutions are scalable and sustainable
  • Partner with Financial Advice SMEs to ensure redesigned processes reflect regulatory, compliance, and advice-quality obligations + align technology delivery with Wealth strategy by collaborating closely with Product, Architecture, Digital, and Vendor partners
  • Maintain strong delivery governance, ensuring risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions are proactively identified, tracked, and escalated with clear recommendations
  • Champion structured continuous improvement through process standardisation and simplification

What you bring to the role:   

  • Demonstrated experience in Wealth Management, ideally having worked in roles such as Paraplanner or Financial Adviser, with strong understanding of advice delivery, compliance, and client service processes
  • A senior project management background, with proven end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-stream business or digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience leading and coordinating diverse, cross-functional project teams (including business SMEs, technology, vendors, and change), with an ability to influence without direct authority
  • Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning), Bachelor of Accounting, or equivalent discipline relevant to financial advice
  • Current PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI-ACP).
  • Demonstrated capability to interpret and apply financial advice regulations, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., ASIC RG146 competency).
