Location: Colborne, ON: Cobourg, ON; Chilliwack, BC; or Spruce Grove, AB. Cam Tran is an ISO-9001 certified company specializing in manufacturing, repair and renewal of all types of oil filled distribution transformers. CMI acquired Canada's Cam Tran in 2024, the largest Canadian manufacturer of distribution transformers and the largest North American producer of amorphous metal transformers. This formed one of the largest distribution transformer manufacturing operations on the continent, which together employs around twelve hundred people across twelve facilities. As a combined company, CMI and Cam Tran continue to operate under the separate brands but leverage the capacity across the manufacturing footprint to support each company's increasing product demand.
