Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Build tools and tests that help create customer experiences that delight our customers.

• Develops and maintains functional test cases, System & Integration Test cases and test artifacts like test data, test cases and automated scripts used in SDLC

• Executes manual and automated test cases that validate the functionalities, code quality and reports test results, following all formal test architectures and project processes

• Track metrics (e.g., velocity, code quality, defect density across all phases, code review metrics, testing metrics) for each sprint, report the same to the management

• Documents results of testing, including expected behavior, actual behavior, and detailed steps to reproduce any defects.

• Provides quality sign-off to project teams and executes testing duties as assigned.

• Configures QA performance/load test design and execution to ensure high performance software environment under load.

• Incorporates client usage and feedback into test scripts to mimic the end user behavior in QA.

• Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements to the Agile squad.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or related function is required.

• 6+ years of application testing experience.

• Experienced with use case generation, manual testing, and bug lifecycle management

• Understanding of Relational database models (Relational/ Document based) and experience with GUI tools to interact with them (Working knowledge of SQL)

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Exposure to using bug tracking and test case management tools (JIRA, Azure TFS, Git)

• Experience testing and working with multi browser and mobile device systems

• Good customer empathy

• Strong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skills.

• Experience in C#, JUnit/TestNG, Jenkins, Playwright, Selenium, SoapUI.

• Experience in creating Playwright, Selenium, REST API, Junit test automation

• Experienced with API testing (JSON, REST), using tools such as Postman and JMeter (performance testing, and writing scripts)
