Harry Maxwell has been engaged by a well‑known construction company that delivers complex, multi‑disciplinary projects across the infrastructure, civil, and mining sectors.

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to support the delivery of mining and infrastructure projects in the Pilbara region. The role will oversee quality assurance across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and project quality frameworks.

To be successful in this role, you need strong multidisciplinary engineering experience and proven quality assurance expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project quality systems.
  • Establish, monitor, and close out quality processes across project lifecycle.
  • Lead inspections, audits, and testing for civil/structural and mechanical works.
  • Manage NCRs, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and assess vendor prequalification and compliance.
  • Prepare quality documentation for business development and reporting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and inspectors and liaise with project teams to resolve issues.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Minimum 8 years’ QA/QC experience in mining or heavy industry projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, ISO 9001, and mining regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in welding standards, fabrication quality, and structural construction codes.
  • Experience in FIFO rosters and remote site work.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
