About the Role 

We’re a fast-growing startup looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who thrives in ambiguity and takes pride in shipping rock-solid products at speed. You’ll be the quality owner for key product areas—working closely with Product and Engineering to catch issues early and raise the overall quality bar. 

This role is for someone who likes hands-on testing, smart automation, and real ownership, not just ticking boxes. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Own end-to-end quality for features—from requirements to production release 
  • Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, test reports, and regression suites for web and/or mobile apps 
  • Perform API testing and validate complex backend workflows 
  • Actively collaborate with PMs and Developers during grooming and sprint planning to identify risks early 
  • Identify, log, and track defects with clear priority and business impact 
  • Drive release readiness and quality sign-off in a fast-paced environment 
  • Improve testing processes, tools, and practices as the product scales 
  • Mentor junior QEs and help build a strong quality culture 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 5–6 years of proven experience in manual + automation testing 
  • Strong understanding of Agile development in startup environments 
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium / Playwright / Cypress / Appium, etc.) 
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).  
  • Solid experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.) 
  • Ability to think beyond test cases—edge cases, user behavior, and failure scenarios 
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset 

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
