Senior Release Manager

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of comprehensive release plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Spearhead process improvements, standardizing workflows for maximum efficiency.
• Implement industry-leading practices to elevate the release management lifecycle.
• Develop and present high-level dashboards and reporting metrics to guide decision-making.
• Mentor the team in utilizing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership in cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Drive communication strategies across teams for successful and harmonized releases.
• Offer expert technical leadership and guidance to the release team.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical challenges during releases.
• Effectively communicate complex release and process changes throughout the organization and to customers.
• Conduct and lead impactful release meetings, ensuring alignment and understanding.
• Monitor, measure, and ensure the continuous improvement of software releases.
• Lead initiatives for operational excellence, enhancing team processes and productivity.

Job Requirement :

• 5+ years of release management experience
• Bachelors degree in engineering, CS, physics, math, statistics, or another related field or equivalent work experience
• Ability to participate in on-call duty
• Experience in the release management lifecycle in regards to the SDLC
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and problem solving abilities.
• Experience working in a customer facing role
• Expertise with issues tracking/management tools
• Expertise in utilizing advanced reporting tools for release management and analysis.
• Version control tools: Git, Bitbucket
• Expertise in utilizing advanced reporting tools for release management and analysis.
• Experience with iOS and Android mobile deployments including familiarity with Apple Store Connect and Google Play Console
• Expertise in best practices in ITIL Release and Change Management

Preferred:

• Experience with financial systems (banking, lending, operations, payments)
• You love making complicated things simple
• Experience with Database Technologies: SQL
• Experience with Scripting: Shell, batch
• Experience with Build Automation tools: AutoRabit, Bamboo, Jenkins/TeamCity, Maven, Apache Ant
• Additional Skills: Experience in any programming language (Python, Java), test automation, AWS cloud, Code coverage, Unit testing
• Environment provisioning, sandbox management, and data management
