Senior Reliability Engineer – Adelaide Based
We are looking for an experienced reliability engineer to step into the role of Senior Reliability Engineer – Mobile Equipment, based at Adelaide.
In this position you will be working closely with our customers to provide reliability support to Epiroc customers.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitating and leading problem solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major downtime eventsEvaluating equipment failure modes, using your engineering expertise to develop solutions that eliminate or mitigate defects and potential failuresReviewing and updating equipment maintenance strategies, including bills of materials, condition monitoring, inspection, and maintenance activities Provide expert analysis and reporting on equipment performance, identifying trends and delivering actionable recommendations for improvement.Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actionsConduct FMEA and risk assessments for preventative maintenanceDevelop predictive maintenance strategies using condition monitoringTrack reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR) and drive performance improvementsSupport troubleshooting and implement industry best practicesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability and reduce operational risk.Mentor and guide maintenance teams, offering technical leadership and support for complex reliability challenges.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve reliability issues and align strategies with business objectives. Qualifications, Skills & Experience required:
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic reliability programs in a dynamic operational environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in interpreting performance data and driving improvements.Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.Valid driver’s license. Exposure to mobile equipment and condition monitoring systemsFamiliarity with SHE standards and reliability tools (FMEA, RCA)Proficiency in MS Office and Power BI for data analysis and reportingStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills It all starts with people.
