Senior Revenue Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their Finance team. This role will support revenue recognition, month-end close activities, and accounting process improvements, with a strong focus on automation and accuracy. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, collaborative, and inclusive environment.

Location: Charlotte, NC or Remote

Contract Duration: 6 months | W2

Responsibilities:

• Assist with technical accounting matters related to revenue.
• Drive process automation initiatives including the use of Power Query.
• Support revenue accounting and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Participate in accounting projects, research, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting.
• Manage and execute month-end close activities related to revenue recognition.

Qualifications/Must Haves:

• Strong experience with Power Query or similar automation tools.
• Hands-on experience supporting month-end close processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proven experience in revenue accounting or related finance/accounting roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Background in utilities, renewable energy, or large-scale operational environments.
• Experience supporting accounting projects or technical accounting research.
