**Job Purpose**
The Enterprise Risk Department is an independent, second-line risk function that develops and manages the framework for identifying, assessing and reporting risks and covers all risks faced by the clearing house, including financial, liquidity, credit, operational, and legal, regulatory and compliance risks.
The Senior Risk Analyst will be part of the Enterprise Risk Management Department (ERM) Department and assist in the execution and oversight of risk frameworks implemented within the North American Clearinghouses. Responsibilities include monitoring, analyzing, and reporting risk metrics in relation to risk appetite; monitoring operational incidents, maintaining the clearinghouse risk register and performing risk and control assessments that feed into the risk register; and collation of risk reporting for Risk and Board committees. Additionally, the Senior Risk Analyst will support and maintain ICE’s internal Counterparty Rating System (CRS) by monitoring and reporting on counterparty credit risk, performing financial statement analysis, and developing tools to enhance credit data analytics.
**Responsibilities**
+ Counterparty Credit Risk - Models, Monitoring, and Reporting:
+ Support and maintain ICE’s internal Counterparty Rating System.
+ Analyze financial statements of counterparties within ICE network and escalate credit related risks and concerns.
+ Conduct daily credit risk monitoring and data analytics.
+ Communicate with various stakeholders on counterparty credit risk related matters.
+ Prepare daily/ monthly reports on counterparty credit risk and exposure.
+ Risk identification, management, monitoring, reporting:
+ Monitor daily risk appetite metrics, with investigation and escalation of breaches.
+ Assist in the management of clearing house risk appetite framework, or specific aspects of it, including the setting of risk appetite statements and limits.
+ Monitor and report on Risk Management Information. Identify, develop, and implement new risk and management information metrics and reporting.
+ Maintain & develop, as necessary risk reporting infrastructure for daily and periodic reporting.
+ Identify risks on an ongoing basis, including providing views on new risks, and risk metrics.
+ Complete risk register assessments, inclusive of review and challenge.
+ Maintain the control inventory, inclusive of review, challenge and independent monitoring.
+ Provide regular review and challenge to first-line risk management, escalating major risks and concerns promptly
+ Provide input to relevant policies and procedures.
+ Provide any ad hoc support or assistance to other roles across enterprise risk department.
+ Produce daily and periodic risk reports/dashboards for Senior Management and Board/Committees.
+ Maintain industry awareness, best practice insight and regulatory knowledge with regards to risk management.
**Knowledge and Experience**
+ Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced degree in finance, data analytics, financial engineering, or related discipline.
+ Risk Management: Understanding of risk types, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks. Knowledge of credit risk scorecards and interpretation of Financial Statements. Experience with enterprise risk frameworks or financial data modelling is preferred.
+ Financial Markets: Knowledge of financial markets and associated products and financial market infrastructure. Exposure to derivatives industry and credit risk modeling techniques (scoring, exposure measurement) is preferred.
+ Data Visualization: Strong practical experience using Tableau, including creating and maintain dashboards (essential).
+ Database Skills: Solid intermediate knowledge of SQL or other programming language i.e. Python (essential).
+ Analytical and Communication Skills: Confidence and ability to question, provide challenge, and present findings effectively.
+ Interpersonal Skills: Maturity, self-awareness, active listening, and ability to build strong relationships and influence as required.
+ Professional Credibility: Demonstrated ability to establish trust and authority.
+ Communication: Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
