  • Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRisk Management is responsible for managing and controlling the risk profile of the bank. The profession path covers financial and non-financial risks. Examples of financial risks include client creditworthiness, market price fluctuations etc. Examples of non-financial risks are inadequate processes, controls, or systems etc. Risk Management roles may cover various aspects of the risk lifecycle including: •Establishing risk governance •Setting risk frameworks, policies, and risk appetite •Embedding sustainable performance culture • Identifying existing and emerging risks •Measuring and modelling risks •Active transaction and portfolio risk decision making • Determining mitigants and controls •Reporting the aggregate risk profile and escalating risk events •Driving scenario and downside analysis. Risk Management related roles exist in either the 1st line of defence or the 2nd line of defence as independent control functions.
