Job Description
The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Senior SalesForce Administrator Lead to join our technology team at a University in Boston, MA. This is a hybrid opportunity!
The Sr. Salesforce Administrator Lead reports to the Vice President of Advancement Resources and provides interim leadership and hands on participation as coverage for 3-6 months. This role oversees the Salesforce ecosystem (Ascend, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud), coaches the systems administration team, conducts daily standups, monitors and assigns cases, and serves as liaison with ITS to bridge development work and Advancement needs. Key responsibilities include managing critical projects (Ascend stabilization, Kindsight engagement, Commerce Cloud troubleshooting, parent data loading), handling escalated issues, and maintaining day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Team Oversight
- Lead daily stand-up meetings to align priorities and ensure timely case resolution.
- Coach and support team members to maintain productivity, quality, and service standards.
- Monitor, triage, and assign cases by record type, including licensing, technical changes, and data uploads.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Oversee system administration activities and perform ongoing data quality checks.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to senior leadership.
ITS Liaison & Business Analysis
- Serve as the primary liaison between ITS development teams and Advancement stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Facilitate issue resolution to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs.
Key Systems & Projects
- Lead stabilization and enhancement efforts for core Advancement platforms, including Ascend, Kindsight, Commerce Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Support Giving Day platform operations, including contingency planning as needed.
- Manage data initiatives such as parent data loads, giving societies configuration, and historical document projects.
- Drive ongoing data integrity efforts, including audits, constituent data cleanup, and system improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years Salesforce administration experience, preferably in higher education.
- Proven experience coaching or managing technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce products: Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce configuration: Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dashboards and reports.
- Ability to serve as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong business analysis skills to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and vendor management skills.
- Experience with sandbox and production environments.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently in a temporary capacity.
Pay $50 - $53 / hour W2, Depending on Experience
