Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Summary

As a Senior SAP Developer in the IT Enterprise Applications team, this position is responsible to understand the business function requirements in Finance, HR, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales & Distribution and Procurement modules of SAP and transform the requirements into the technical designs, specs and code. The individual should possess analytical, problem solving, technical skills to effectively collect requirements, translate them to technical design, code and deploy quality solutions. In addition to working on new projects, this position will support production applications by analyzing and prioritizing defects and enhancements for recurring releases.

Desired experience and requirements:

• 8-10 years’ experience in ABAP RICEFW object development in SAP ECC environment - FI, SD, MM, HR modules including ABAP, Smartforms, SAPScript.

• Proficiency writing ABAP code following best practices and coding standards.

• Implement user exits, customer exits, BADIs, and enhancement spots

• Develop custom transactions, function modules, and class-based programming

• Create and maintain ABAP Workbench objects including data dictionary elements

• Implement workflow solutions using SAP Business Workflow

• Develop SAPScript, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and ALV reporting solutions

• Custom Fiori Apps, OData services• Debugging & Performance: ABAP Debugger, Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector

• Ensures application performance, quality, and responsiveness.

• Writes and executes unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Experience in SAP Workflow

• Experience in Vistex development is a plus.

• Development of Fiori applications

• Knowledge of ECC integrations with integration platforms like SAP PI and SAP BTP is a plus

• Experience with working with BSAs and cross-functional teams and translate business and functional specifications to technical specifications and solutions.

• Maintain and update technical documentation

• Participates in code reviews.

• Familiarity with Jira, Service-Now & Confluence is a plus.

• Experience in both project and support environments
