Job Description: Senior Sewerage Engineer – PGMC, Amaravati Project
Project: Program Management Consultancy (PGMC) – Amaravati Capital City Project
Experience: 15+ Years
Sector: Urban Sewerage & Wastewater Infrastructure
Location: Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh
Role Summary
We are hiring an experienced Senior Sewerage Engineer for the PGMC of the Amaravati Capital City Project. The role involves providing technical leadership, design review, construction supervision support, and coordination for large-scale urban sewerage and wastewater infrastructure under a Program Management Consultancy framework.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for planning, design review, and implementation of sewerage and wastewater systems under PGMC
Review DPRs, detailed designs, hydraulic calculations, and drawings for sewer networks, pumping stations, STPs, and reuse systems
Ensure compliance with CPHEEO Manual, BIS standards, Mo HUA guidelines, and Andhra Pradesh state regulations
Support procurement and tendering activities including bid documents, BOQs, and technical specifications
Monitor construction progress, quality, and safety in coordination with supervision teams
Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, QA/QC plans, and material approvals
Coordinate with APCRDA, ULBs, contractors, and other stakeholders
Identify design and execution risks and propose corrective measures
Provide periodic technical reports and inputs to the PGMC leadership
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Master Degree (Environment or Similar)
Minimum 15 years of experience in urban sewerage and wastewater infrastructure projects
Strong experience in capital city / large urban development projects
Prior experience in PGMC / PMC / multilateral-funded projects is highly desirable
Key Skills & Competencies
Expertise in urban sewerage planning, STP design review, and sewer network systems
Thorough knowledge of CPHEEO, BIS, and state statutory requirements
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a program management and multi-package environment
Proficiency in design review tools, drawings, and reporting
