The Work You'll Do:


At Sovos, we're powering global tax compliance for half of the Fortune 500 and thousands of businesses worldwide—processing billions of transactions across 19,000+ tax jurisdictions. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be at the core of our cloud-native infrastructure, designing, scaling, and optimising the systems that keep our platform running seamlessly.


This role blends deep technical expertise with leadership visibility. You'll architect scalable solutions, drive automation, and serve as a technical liaison in strategic discussions. More specifically, you will:


Infrastructure & Automation

  • Design and implement scalable Kubernetes clusters using Terraform
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for seamless deployments
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and alerting to drive operational efficiency

    • Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with Product and Scrum teams to align DevOps practices with business goals
  • Present technical strategies and updates to leadership in both Spanish and English
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing

    • Operational Excellence

  • Ensure high availability and performance of production systems
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues and lead root cause analysis
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for configuration, release, and deployment processes

    • What We Need From You

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
  • On-call rotation availability to support production systems
  • Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Kubernetes/Docker Swarm, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline design
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
  • Experience presenting technical content to non-technical stakeholders
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated environments (tax, finance, compliance)
  • Familiarity with Sovos Trust Services or similar digital onboarding platforms
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring DevOps teams
