Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Join Canonical as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, where you will work on next‑gen operations at scale, using pure Python infra‑as‑code across bare metal, Kubernetes and application clusters.

Responsibilities
• Architect and run OpenStack, Kubernetes and software‑defined storage, enabling devsecops from bare metal to applications. • Drive upgrades and automation across private and public cloud estates, embracing a universal operator pattern and model‑driven operations. • Apply Python software‑engineering rigor to infrastructure problems, treating automation as a software engineering discipline. • Operate under high‑pressure, mission‑critical environments for a global brand.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage
- Python software development expertise
- Operational experience in large‑scale environments
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long
Nice‑to‑have skills
- Experience with OpenStack or Kubernetes deployment or operations
- Familiarity with public or private cloud management
