Senior Software Developer **DHS Clearance Required

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a seasoned SeniorSoftware Developer to lead enterprise data governance and integration initiatives for a federal client out of the Washington, DC area. The Senior Software Developer will be hands-on with strategic planning, technical leadership, and hands-on development. This role is hybrid and requires an ACTIVE DHS clearance.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Developer:

·Define technical strategies for data governance, metadata management, and integration platforms

·Lead design and deployment of solutions leveraging Collibra APIs, Edge Server, and Java-based microservices

·Implement automated data ingestion, lineage tracking, and governance workflows using event-driven tools

·Oversee cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD automation pipelines.

Qualifications of the Senior Software Developer:

·10+ years of experience in software development with strong Java expertise

·Proven experience with Collibra, Collibra APIs, and Edge Server integration (required)

·Strong background in leading federal IT projects and collaborating with technical and business teams

·Experience with Kafka, AWS Glue and metadata automation

·Experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau

·Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation

·Hands on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD Pipelines

·Must have an ACTIVE DHS Clearance

·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Compensation for the Senior Software Developer:

·Salary Range: Between $135,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
