Senior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development : Build and maintain robust backend services and microservices using Java, Rust, and Python, optimised for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Event-Driven Architecture : Develop and manage high-throughput data pipelines and pub-sub workflows using Kafka at scale.
• Cloud Integration : Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions (preferably on GCP), ensuring seamless integration with partner systems and internal platforms.
• Data Engineering : Design systems to ingest, process, and analyse data from millions of IoT/WiFi devices, transforming it into actionable insights for customer support teams.
• Technical Leadership : Lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices across the SDLC including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, QA, and support teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Customer-Facing Engineering : Investigate and resolve complex field issues, collaborating with technical support and operations teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 
• 6 –10 years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
• Proven expertise in Java and Kafka in production environments.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containerisation (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience working in Telecom domain on EMS/NMS systems is mandatory. 
• Solid grasp of both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

• India – (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)
