Job Description:
Senior Guidewire Engineer
Position Overview:
The Senior Guidewire Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Guidewire applications that meet business requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of Guidewire (Claims/Billing/Policy) platform capabilities, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with globally distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Guidewire applications and components based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Configure/Customize Guidewire applications to meet specific business needs.
- Integrate Guidewire applications with other systems like Pega and databases as required
- Conduct unit testing and support system testing and user acceptance testing.
- Debug and resolve issues related to Guidewire applications
- Work closely with globally distributed teams, including business analysts, architects, and project managers, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies
Qualifications:
- Configure and Customize Guidewire applications (Claims, Billing, Polisy)
- Implement business rules, workflows and UI changes based on functional requirements
- Familiarity with Pega case management, decisioning, and BPM (Business Process Management)
- Build and maintain reusable components within Guidewire framework
- Guidewire Certification (Claim center Specialist, PolicyCenter Specialist, BillingCenter Specialist)
Background:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Guidewire application development (ClaimCenter, Billing Center, Policy Center).
- Strong hands-on experience with GOSU, Java, Guidewire Studio and XML configuration
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire integration capabilities, including REST, SOAP, and JMS
- Guidewire deployment on both on-prem and cloud (Azure, AWS) environments
- Experience with DevOps practices (GIT, Jenkins, Docker)
- Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL)
- Flexibility to support and operate in Hybrid and shift timings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
