Senior Software Engineer

Purpose of the Role

To design, implement, document, and commission control software for bespoke automation machinery. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for writing Software Design Specifications (SDS) documents, leading smaller software projects, conducting Source Code Reviews (SCRs), and supporting commissioning independently or as part of a larger team.

There may be occasions where travel to customer sites is required but will be planned in advance.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

      Lead software development for assigned projects, ensuring code aligns with the SDS and meets functional requirements.

      Write and maintain SDSs that clearly define how the software will function.

      Conduct formal SCRs and provide feedback to peers and junior engineers.

      Independently lead software workstreams on smaller automation projects.
