Senior Solution Architect – Backbase

• Designs and delivers integrated, innovative solutions that leverage Backbase products to help banks and financial institutions meet complex technology and business objectives.
• Acts as a senior member of the core project team, collaborating closely with customers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Engineering Managers to translate challenging requirements into robust, scalable architectures.
• Drives architectural governance, minimizes technical debt, and enables clear, traceable decision‑making. Functions as a trusted technical advisor, influencing high‑level decisions, mentoring junior architects, and contributing actively to the continuous evolution of Backbase’s architecture practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect (SA), Subject Matter Expert (SME), or consultant.
• Strong technical background in modern software languages and solution design (e.g., Java, Spring, Angular, Microservices, integration patterns).
• Solid understanding and application of SDLC and Secure SDLC principles, with experience balancing functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Broad and current understanding of infrastructure patterns and key technologies including cloud, virtualization, containerization, orchestration, security, and connectivity.
• Skilled in applying architectural tools for decision‑making (options papers, sequence diagrams, topology diagrams, component illustrations).
• Experience with Backbase architecture is desirable.
• Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to architectural practice improvements and mentoring peers.

Key Knowledge & Application

• Experience working as a Solution Architect, SME, or consultant.
• Ability to guide and govern solution design effectively.
• Strong technical expertise in modern software languages and solution design.
• Experience with SDLC and Secure SDLC principles.
• Understands the importance of well‑defined non‑functional requirements and balances them with functional requirements.
• Broad, current knowledge of infrastructure patterns and technologies such as cloud, virtualization, containerization, orchestration, security, and connectivity.
• Previous experience in Financial Services, Banking, Fintech.
• Previous experience delivering Professional Services for a product company.
