The Senior Specialist, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for supporting strategic and business initiatives across relevant product categories. The Senior Specialist, Strategic Sourcing will work closely with Business Partners (commercial, finance, supply chain, legal) to drive collaboration and accelerate execution, resulting in the best available value through category management, strategic sourcing, and business development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships as a commercial liaison, creating strategies and deployment tactics to optimize sales performance for the preferred manufacturerSupport supplier selection and negotiation processes, along with executing sourcing activitiesSupport the development and implementation of product strategies, including new supplier identification, current assortment assessment, expansion and rationalization of products categories, and product research processesIndependently develop new product and supplier options to support overall business strategy and growth for Covetrus Proprietary BrandsSupport the negotiation of contracts, rebates, and statements of work with suppliers to drive profitability, while allowing our sales team a complete, competitive portfolio of product categoriesMaintain and proactively manage contract pipeline, including proactive identification of upcoming key contract renewals and negotiation opportunitiesLead cross-functional efforts to resolve operational issues that arise internally or externally regarding our suppliersSupport increased collaboration with internal Business Partners including commercial, finance, supply chain, and legal to increase efficiency in commercial executionDocument and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for core business functions and processesExecute and support portfolio strategies using standard sourcing/supplier management processes and professional program management practicesDemonstrate value contribution to the business, using key performance indicators to track and report progressIdentify projects that can impact business growth, provide regular updates on project performance, and report on EBITDA impact to businessMonitor strategy implementation and contract complianceSupport supplier business reviews and trade show attendance, as neededPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in business administration or other relevant degree4-6 years’ experience in related field (supply chain, procurement, sourcing, etc.),Demonstrated business acumen, strong ability to harness strategic sourcing to help drive business valueStructured approach to program management, proven ability to deliver results from multiple projectsCross-functional experience, knowledge or past experience with sourcing systems and operations a plusExcellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and collaborative skills are essentialCOMPETENCIES (Skills and Abilities)

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
The pay range for this position is as follows:
$67,100-$95,800
