Overview
Leading Software company based in North Sydney requires a Senior MS SQL DBA for a 12 month + contract. As an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator with strong AWS RDS and Aurora experience to support and optimise a cloud-based data environment.
Responsibilities
On a daily basis you will:
- Administer, monitor, and support MS SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments
- Manage SQL workloads on AWS RDS and Aurora (PostgreSQL/MySQL compatibility advantageous)
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery readiness
- Support cloud database migrations and modernisation initiatives
- Implement security best practices including access controls, encryption, and compliance standards
- Automate routine DBA tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and performance issues
