Job Description

  • Location - VIC, Melbourne
  • Australian Citizens with Baseline Clearance
  • Length of Contract: 5 months
  • The role closes on 27th January 2026
Responsibilities:
  • Develop a forward work plan for the implementation of the strategic roadmap for the Commercial Team.
  • Implementation of strategic vision through the development of operational artefacts which translate strategic direction into tactical assignments.
  • Support the development of an operating model for the team.
  • Supporting strategic level decision making through the development of evidence based advisory artefacts.
  • Specify, map, and implement effective business processes through improvements in systems, practices, and organisational change.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across Defence and industry to support procurement outcomes.
Essential Criteria:
  • Demonstrated experience in working with senior executives, preferably in a public sector environment.
  • Exposure to commercial or procurement roles, preferably in Defence or public sector environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Highly Desirable:
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement activities & processes in the procure-to-pay value chain.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with a diverse team with varied skills to deliver.
