Senior Synthetic Chemist

Reporting to the Research Manager (CAM), the Senior Synthetic Scientist will play a key role in spearheading the development of Gelion's Cathode Active Material for applications in lithium sulfur and sodium sulfur batteries. This role will focus on projects aligned with Gelion's commercial ambitions, working with academic and commercial partners to develop and synthesise new CAM technologies.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the research, synthesis and refinement of Gelion's Cathode Active Material.

• Conduct experimental work using glovebox and Schlenk line, reporting findings to the Research Manager and CTO.

• Produce and test materials and coatings, interpreting performance data.

• Contribute to a safe workplace by developing SOPs, completing risk assessments and creating safety documentation.

• Assist with general maintenance of a clean and orderly laboratory environment.
