As a Development Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and enabling our teams to leverage cloud infrastructure (GCP) with a strong focus on IaC (Terraform), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and automation frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud environments are scalable, secure, and efficient. Your expertise in Cloud automation tools will be critical in building out a hybrid cloud infrastructure approach for our new development initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Design and implement solutions in container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Provisioning, implementing and supporting GCP  technology stack services including computer engine, cloud storage, Kubernetes engine, Cloud functions, and more.
  • Build and enhance automation frameworks to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, deployments, and automation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, IaC, and GitOps.
  • Train, mentor and guide fellow administration engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on IaC and Kubernetes engine.
  • 4+ years of experience managing infrastructure/platform services in Google Cloud.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience designing/architecting infrastructure farms for various use cases.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform/Terra Grunt.
  • Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with logging tools like Cloud Logging or ELK Stack.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of DevOps Ops technologies such as Docker/containers, Kubernetes, and data center deployments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud infrastructure and automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • GCP certifications e.g. Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer.

Location:

  • India – (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)
