Senior Systems Programmer – Mainframe Support (Full-Time, Exempt)
Onsite: League City South Houston TX
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM + On-Call Rotation

Key Responsibilities
Lead mainframe storage administration including SMS, HSM, DS8000, TS7700, tape systems, allocation, DR, and backup/recovery
Manage tickets, incidents, and escalations in ServiceNow
Perform upgrades, installations, and tuning for Z/OS and third-party mainframe tools
Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct root cause analysis in large-scale environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—application programmers, infrastructure engineers, platform architects, and operations
Support critical workloads in a high-uptime, enterprise environment
Required Experience & Technical Skills
Proven experience as a Mainframe Systems Programmer or Senior Z/OS Programmer
Strong background in mainframe storage administration, including SMS/HSM
Expertise with DS8000, TS7700, and enterprise-class storage systems
Hands-on experience with FDR, tape services, backup and recovery solutions
Ability to support on-call rotation in a 24/7 production environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex escalations
