We are the captive Shared Service Provider for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (DGFF). We are an organization of more than 4,600 colleagues complemented by approximately 500 virtual FTE (i.e., bots applied in process automation). Our colleagues are based across six service delivery centers in Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu, Manila, Bogota & Budapest. You will interact with people from all over the world and get the chance to a truly international organization.
As the Senior Team Manager - Fin – PTP, the role will leverage extensive expertise in the finance shared service center tasks to drive results across the entire company. With accountability for all finance activities, the role will be responsible to manage teams performing Accounts Payable activities. Leading and mentoring the teams spanning multiple countries and regions, totalling 200+ FTE, will be a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the role’s significant direct vendor and business partner engagement will be instrumental in fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective and successive completion of all finance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the comprehensive spectrum of PTP operations, overseeing all aspects of Finance Shared Service Center tasks of invoice processing, payment, reconciliation and close, adhering to the highest standards of compliance and ethics.
- Direct and inspire a dedicated team of 200+ finance professionals, establishing clear goals, providing consistent feedback, and evaluating performance to cultivate a high-performing and motivated workforce. Champion career development and succession planning to nurture future leaders.
- Foster strong relationships with around 50+ Business Partners globally, ensuring open and effective communication, especially with Regional and Country CFOs. Deliver regular updates on service delivery achievements and innovations, addressing any concerns swiftly to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction levels.
- Utilizing predictive metrics and data analysis to manage productivity and optimize strategies, ensuring efficient and effective finance & accounting processes.
- Ensuring Month End Close tasks are completed on time without any delay & ensuring strict adherence to evidencing audit requirements.
- Providing valuable input and recommendations to Country CFOs, and the Regional CFOs to improve finance management and meet global goals.
- Demonstrating strong interpersonal and written communication skills, delivering cogent and concise reports based on data analysis to stakeholders.
- Building cross-functional relationships and networks to support collections efforts and drive collaboration across multiple regions and teams.
- Managing finance teams, including Team Leaders or Managers, across multiple regions, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and performance targets.
- Leveraging networking skills to handle escalations based on process and foster positive relationships.
- Exercising SOP approval authority for the PTP processes, ensuring compliance and consistency in operations.
- Benchmark processes against best in class and drive the team accordingly to achieve expected cost savings through effective budgeting and control
- Engaging in business partner management and relationship-building initiatives to enhance collaboration and achieve shared objectives.
- Monitoring country performance against plan and providing input and recommendations for improvement to meet goals effectively.
- Demonstrating project management skills to drive initiatives aimed at improving collections processes and overall operational effectiveness.
- Conducting process analysis and providing leadership insights for continuous improvement, ensuring that collections practices align with business objectives and best practices.
Required skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (B.Com/B.B.A/B.B.M), or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in Finance or Accounting are highly advantageous.
- A substantial track record, ideally 10 - 15 years, in managing Finance & Accounting teams with a Minimum of 6 years of experience in leading and managing a team of approximately 100 individuals.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and driving results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams, fostering an environment of high performance.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Effective in building partnerships, aligning finance activities with business objectives, and enhancing the visibility of the finance function.
- Excellence in presentation skills, including creating PowerPoint presentations and delivering them effectively to senior leadership.
