Senior Technical Support Engineer

Job purpose:

Support the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency of systems and networks.

Who you are:

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for end users (hardware, OS, applications, network basics).
• Manage Windows, Linux, and server troubleshooting.
• Handle user onboarding/offboarding, access management, and asset tracking.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, networking, and system issues.
• Monitor system health, backups, and security compliance.
• Support virtualization, basic cloud, and security tools where applicable.
• Maintain documentation and follow IT operational standards.

What will excite us:

• Industry certifications preferred: AWS/Azure Associate/Professional, RHCE, CCNA/CCNP, ITIL.
• Infrastructure & Systems: Strong Linux & Windows administration, VMware/ESXi, Active Directory, patching.
• Networking: LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls (Sophos, Fortinet), load balancers.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on with AWS & Azure — provisioning, monitoring, backup/DR.
• Automation & Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell for IT task automation.
• Security & Compliance: Exposure to ISO 27001:2022, SOC2, GDPR standards.
• Monitoring & Tools: Ticketing systems (Jira/ITDesk), SIEM/log servers (Splunk, ELK, Wazuh), asset management.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
