Senior Techno-Functional (ServiceNow OT)

Alcor Solutions is seeking a Senior Techno-Functional Consultant (ServiceNow OT) with strong consulting, technical, and operational expertise to enable Operational Technology (OT) service visibility, asset governance, and operational resilience through the ServiceNow platform.

This role leads OT-aligned solution design and implementation, ensuring accurate modeling of OT assets, services, and operational events within ServiceNow. The Senior OT Consultant operates independently with minimal supervision and works closely with OT operations, engineering, reliability, and IT teams to support IT/OT convergence while adhering to the unique constraints of OT environments.

Key Responsibilities

OT Solution Leadership

• Lead end-to-end ServiceNow OT implementations or workstreams, aligned to operational reliability and safety requirements.
• Act as a domain expert for OT asset modeling, service representation, and operational workflows.
• Translate OT operational and engineering requirements into ServiceNow architectures and data models.
• Ensure OT solutions align with platform governance, security, and enterprise standards.

OT Asset & Service Modeling

• Design and govern OT asset classes, relationships, and lifecycle states within the ServiceNow CMDB.
• Align OT asset and service models with CSDM concepts where applicable, adapting appropriately for OT realities.
• Ensure data accuracy, normalization, and ownership across OT assets and services.
• Establish OT-specific CMDB governance, health metrics, and remediation processes.

Monitoring, Events & Operational Visibility

• Configure and optimize OT-relevant event ingestion, correlation, and incident workflows.
• Integrate OT monitoring, telemetry, or historian data sources where applicable.
• Support alert noise reduction and meaningful operational visibility for plant and field teams.
• Partner with OT and IT teams to ensure operational events align with service impact and response processes.

Platform Configuration & Delivery

• Configure ServiceNow workflows, forms, rules, dashboards, and automation supporting OT operations.
• Support Discovery or data ingestion strategies appropriate for OT environments (agentless, passive, or integrated sources).
• Lead testing activities including functional testing, UAT support, and deployment readiness.
• Document OT processes, configurations, governance models, and operational runbooks.

Mentorship & Practice Contribution

• Mentor junior consultants and analysts working on OT engagements.
• Contribute to reusable OT accelerators, asset models, governance templates, and best practices.
• Provide thought leadership on OT roadmap evolution within the ServiceNow platform.
• Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, scoping, and OT-focused client discussions.

Required Skills & Competencies

ServiceNow OT Domain Skills

• Strong experience modeling and managing OT assets and services in ServiceNow.
• Working knowledge of CMDB governance and health management, adapted for OT.
• Understanding of OT operational workflows (incident response, maintenance, outages).
• Experience aligning OT service visibility with ITSM processes where appropriate.
• Familiarity with OT monitoring tools, telemetry, or data sources preferred.

Consulting & Functional Competencies

• Ability to lead complex OT-focused ServiceNow initiatives with enterprise impact.
• Strong stakeholder management across OT operations, engineering, IT, and leadership.
• Skilled at facilitating workshops, asset modeling sessions, and governance reviews.
• Analytical skills to resolve data quality, integration, and operational visibility challenges.
• Ability to balance platform best practices with real-world OT constraints.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4–6 years of consulting or enterprise experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform delivery.
• Direct experience supporting OT environments (manufacturing, utilities, energy, transportation).
• ServiceNow CSA and/or CIS (ITSM or ITOM) strongly preferred.
• Exposure to IT/OT convergence initiatives highly desirable.
