ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases following the instruction from European Quality Insurance
Design and implement automated testing strategies to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure minimal defects in production.
Collaborate with European development teams to identify and resolve issues swiftly.
Analyze project requirements to develop comprehensive testing strategies.
Execute performance and load tests to identify potential bottlenecks.
Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Lead bug triage sessions, prioritizing issues based on project timelines and impact.
Ensure formal documentation of the features with the support of the team.
Collaborate with the Manager Test and European Quality Insurance to ensure the best product quality.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and support automation frameworks with a focus on stability, scalability, and long-term maintainability
  • Identify, prioritize, and reduce automation technical debt
  • Design and implement end-to-end automation covering front-end and back-end flows, with emphasis on critical user journeys and high-risk business flows
  • Build and maintain smoke automation suites to reduce manual effort during release validations
  • Ensure automation stability and readiness across Development, Testing, Staging, Pre-Production, and Production environments
  • Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Product Owners, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment
  • Contribute to automation planning, standards definition, and best practices
  • Perform automation code reviews, providing constructive and actionable feedback to peers
  • Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented mindset by taking ownership of tasks, guiding discussions within the project team, and driving solutions to automation and quality challenges

    • Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java and Java-based automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver based automation testing, including frameworks like TestNG and Cucumber, and integration with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Bamboo.
  • Good working knowledge of SQL / MySQL for test data creation, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with REST API tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar
  • Hands-on experience in REST API automation and backend validations
  • Solid understanding of front-end and back-end interactions and system workflows
  • Experience in regression testing and ongoing test suite maintenance
  • Experience using logging and monitoring tools such as Kibana, New Relic, or similar
  • Exposure to C++, Qt, JavaScript, or Angular (from a testing perspective)
  • Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to improve automation scripting, test design, and productivity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams across distributed/geographical locations
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

    • Nice-to-Have

  • Strong knowledge of Git and branching strategies
  • Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills for automation tests and frameworks
  • Experience testing large-scale, integrated, or domain-driven systems (e.g., aviation or similar complex platforms)
