Role Summary

The Principal QA Engineer is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving quality across enterprise-scale FinTech products through hands-on test strategy, execution, and automation. Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams, the role ensures comprehensive, risk-aligned test coverage and early identification of quality issues.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end testing strategy, planning, and execution aligned with business and risk priorities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to drive quality outcomes
• Apply strong analytical skills to quickly identify issues and deliver practical, high-impact solutions
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members while promoting best practices
• Track, analyze, and report quality metrics; ensure compliance with organizational standards
• Drive test automation adoption and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships.

What You Bring

Must have skills:

• Strong experience in manual testing, with automation testing skills being a plus.
• Should have good skill in preparing Test Plans & Strategies for the releases.
• Experience with Payment Domain (ISO 20022, SWIFT and any other industry Standards).
• Experience with Agile Methodology, Testing Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle and Bug Tracking tools like JIRA.
• Basic working experience with Oracle, MSSQL or MySQL to create & execute DB queries.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with protocols such as JMS, HTTP, SOAP and FTP.
• Experience with Tomcat/JBoss (WildFly)/IBM WebSphere/Oracle WebLogic application servers.
• Experience with MQ (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ).
• Work with technologies like Jenkins, AWS, Docker is a plus.
• Exposure to build tools like Maven or ANT.
