QE Enablement Specialist (Quality Engineering Enablement)
Role Summary
The QE Enablement Specialist is responsible for building, scaling, and sustaining quality engineering practices across teams. This role focuses on enabling QE teams through standards, frameworks, tools, training, and process improvements to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software delivery.
The specialist acts as a bridge between QE, Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to embed quality early in the SDLC and drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong experience in Quality Engineering or Software Testing
Hands-on expertise in test automation (UI, API, and/or backend testing)
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Understanding of Agile, DevOps, and SDLC processes
Knowledge of performance, security, and non-functional testing concepts

Professional Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence without authority
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
Coaching and mentoring capability
Documentation and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in QE Enablement, CoE, or Platform teams
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems
Experience with test data management and service virtualization
ISTQB or equivalent QA/QE certification

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
QE Strategy & Enablement
Define and implement QE enablement strategies aligned with organizational goals
Establish QE best practices, standards, and guidelines across teams
Drive shift-left and shift-right testing initiatives
Enable teams to adopt modern QE practices (automation-first, CI/CD testing, quality metrics)
Frameworks, Tools & Automation
Design, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks
Standardize tools for functional, API, performance, security, and accessibility testing
Support integration of testing tools into CI/CD pipelines
Evaluate and recommend new QE tools and technologies
Training & Coaching
Create QE training materials, playbooks, and documentation
Conduct workshops, onboarding sessions, and hands-on coaching for QE and engineering teams
Mentor QE engineers on automation, test design, and quality practices
Promote quality ownership across development teams
Process & Quality Governance
Define test strategies and quality gates for releases
Establish test metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms
Drive defect prevention, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations (if applicable)
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Partner with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Architecture teams
Support Agile/Scrum teams in sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives
Act as a quality advocate in design and architectural discussions
