Stantec is seeking an experienced **Senior Transmission Line Engineer** to support the delivery of overhead transmission line projects within Australia. The role will be responsible for providing engineering design and technical input to transmission line projects and supporting the growth of Stantec’s Australian Energy & Power business.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Provide engineering design and technical support for overhead transmission line projects from concept through to construction
+ Undertake engineering analysis and modelling of transmission lines and associated structures
+ Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, drawings, and technical documentation in accordance with applicable standards and client requirements
+ Support route alignment development, structure spotting, loading analysis, and conductor configuration design
+ Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines
+ Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating activities
+ Attend project coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants
+ Provide technical input during site visits and construction support activities, as required
**Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
+ Minimum 8 years’ experience in transmission line engineering
+ Demonstrated experience on high-voltage overhead transmission line projects (132kV and above)
+ Experience undertaking engineering analysis and design using industry-standard transmission line software (e.g. PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE or similar)
+ Strong understanding of transmission line structures and foundation interfaces
+ Ability to prepare and review engineering documentation, calculations, and reports
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
