Forge Forward is hiring a Senior Virtualization Engineer to support a major U.S. Navy program. In this role, you will design, build, and manage a VMware Software‐Defined Datacenter (SDDC) environment with a focus on vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and automation. This position is ideal for experienced engineers who want to work on mission‐critical DoD infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN
Support and optimize enterprise VMware SDDC environments
Implement automation using Ansible, Terraform, or PowerCLI
Diagnose and resolve complex virtualization, compute, and storage issues
Support container platforms and datacenter network infrastructure
Maintain and improve enterprise backup/disaster recovery tools (Rubrik preferred)
Work closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders
