Upstep Academy is building a next-gen online chess platform that combines education, gaming, and technology. Our goal is to create a one-stop ecosystem where learners can play, train, and grow through interactive lessons, real-time coaching, analytics, and gamification.

Designation : Senior Web Frontend Developer (React.js)

Responsibilities

Build responsive and performant UIs using React.js + TypeScript (Next.js)

Develop interactive features (chessboards, puzzles, timers, live dashboards)

Integrate real-time APIs & WebSockets for smooth gameplay and lessons

Write scalable, testable, and reusable code

Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers

Requirements

4–10 years of experience in frontend development

Strong skills in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3

Solid grasp of responsive design & performance optimization

Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern dev workflows

Nice to Have: Next.js, Redux/Context API, multiplayer/gamified apps, familiarity with chess platforms.

Experience: 4–10 years

Location: Mumbai (On-site)
