Zoox’s Robot Software Infrastructure team is looking for a senior/staff software engineer to help build the core platform services that power configuration and runtime systems across our autonomous vehicle fleet.Our team develops full-stack systems that manage startup behavior, runtime settings, and software/hardware configuration across vehicles and cities—ensuring safe, consistent operation at scale.Example ChallengesHow should a vehicle determine what to do when it wakes up?How can a fleet coordinate updates across time zones for 24/7 service?How do we detect and recover from misconfigurations in runtime?If you're excited to work on foundational systems that keep a robotaxi fleet running smoothly in the real world, we’d love to talk.
