About the Role
We are looking for a highly hands-on Sensor Development Engineer to join our R&D team focused on the development of solid-state electrochemical gas sensors for industrial, environmental, and energy-related applications.
This role is suited for someone who enjoys working extensively in the laboratory, building sensors from scratch, performing electrochemical experiments, analyzing real sensor data, and continuously improving performance through experimentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and evaluate electrochemical gas sensors
- Perform electrochemical characterisations (CV, EIS, chrono techniques)
- Optimize electrode materials, catalysts, electrolytes, and surface chemistry
- Develop sensor fabrication techniques such as screen printing and coating
- Conduct gas calibration, selectivity, and stability studies
- Analyze data using Python, Excel, Origin, or MATLAB
- Collaborate with Electronics, Mechanical and Product Design teams
- Maintain experimental documentation and SOPs
- Support scaling from lab prototypes to reproducible sensor batches
Qualifications
- B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or related fields
- 1–4 years of hands-on experience in electrochemical/gas sensor development
- Strong understanding of electrochemical principles and redox chemistry
- Experience with potentiostats and gas testbench setups
- Knowledge of data interpretation and programming skills is a plus
- Ability to independently plan and troubleshoot experiments
