About the Role
Get Cito is searching for a curious, data-driven SEO Intern to join our mission of redefining search in the age of AI. This isn’t your typical SEO role; you’ll bridge traditional optimization with cutting-edge GEO strategies, ensuring visibility across platforms like Google AI-Overview, Gemini, and Chat GPT.
Perfect for students/recent grads in Marketing, Computer Science, or Mass Communication, this internship offers hands-on experience in keyword strategy, AI-driven SEO, performance analytics, and outreach collaborations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis using tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
- Optimize website content, meta tags, and internal linking structure for improved search performance
- Support content creators with on-page SEO guidance (keywords, structure, formatting)
- Analyze SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other reporting tools
- Collaborate with content and tech teams to implement technical SEO improvements (site speed, mobile responsiveness, crawlability)
- Learn and assist with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) techniques to ensure visibility on AI-driven platforms such as Chat GPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity
- Monitor backlinks, identify link-building opportunities, and support outreach efforts
- Outreach to other companies for collaborations, partnerships, and guest posting opportunities
- Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm updates from Google and other search technologies
- Contribute to the development and execution of SEO strategies aligned with brand goals
- Assist in maintaining content calendars, audit checklists, and SEO documentation
Qualifications and Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or related field
- Prior internship or work experience (3–6 months) in SEO or digital marketing preferred
- Solid understanding of SEO concepts and digital marketing fundamentals
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and spot trends
- Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.)
- Interest in Artificial Intelligence and emerging trends in digital visibility (GEO)
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a bonus, but not mandatory
- Strong written and communication skills with attention to detail
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-moving tech environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Work Environment
This is an in-office internship at our Noida headquarters, with flexibility for hybrid work. Interns are treated as integral members of the team and provided with mentorship, growth opportunities, and potential advancement into full-time roles.
