Server Admin

Description

System Administrator would be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. He would be contributing to the technical research and development to drive innovation within the infrastructure. He should ensure that systems hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values.

Roles & Responsibilities

PRIMARY

1

To design, install, and administer virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V) products.

2

ITIL: Incident Management, Change Management & CAB participation

3

Perform Active Directory Management and routine administrative tasks

4

Performed cross platform audits of Active Directory (AD) objects and user

permissions

5

Managed Group Policy Objects (GPOs) throughout the Active Directory (AD)

enterprise

6

Developed organizational units in Active Directory (AD) and managed user

security with group policies

7

Maintained and managed Domain Name Service (DNS) for Active Directory (AD)

enterprise

8

Managing windows updates.

9

Understanding Security weaknesses, Investigating and Mitigating security

vulnerabilities across different operating platforms.

10

 Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating Systems

SECONDARY

1

Monitor client systems daily and pinpoint problem areas. On a less frequent

basis, update drivers, servers, and firmware with newer technology

2

Knowledge of Patching ESXi boxes and Windows systems.

Creating, Managing & troubleshooting Veeam Backup

4

Trend or any Antivirus administration knowledge

Skills required

Experience setting up, configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server 2008, 2008R2 and 2012 in an Enterprise environment

Experience setting up, configuring and troubleshooting VMWare ESXi 6.5 or higher

Experience setting up, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, Sites and Services

working knowledge of TCP/IP networking is required.

knowledge on monitoring tool like Solarwind

knowledge on Trend or antivirus solutions.

Good knowledge on Security vulnerabilities & mitigation is a plus

Experience managing Backup through Veeam application is a plus

Experience range 8 to 10 years’ experience as a System and/or Server Administrator Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related discipline (preferred)

MCSA/MCSE certification preferred.
