Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Linux & Windows Server Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Linux and Windows server environments, server & storage management, system security, and troubleshooting. This role involves day-to-day system administration, vendor coordination, documentation, and ensuring high availability and performance of IT systems.


Key Responsibilities

Linux Server Environment

  • Administer, maintain, and support Linux server environments (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot LDAP services and LDAP authentication .
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot web servers such as Apache2, Nginx, and Tomcat.
  • Manage system security using tools and protocols such as SELinux and iptables .
  • Apply system patches and updates to ensure secure and up-to-date systems.
  • Develop and implement backup strategies to protect critical data.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline system management tasks.

Windows Server Environment

  • Provide OS support for Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025 .
  • Configure and maintain Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) and Group Policy Management .
  • Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, File Server, and Web Server (IIS) .
  • Manage Windows Server roles and features.
  • Apply system patches and updates to maintain system security and compliance.

Cloud Environment

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
  • Assist in monitoring and supporting cloud-based workloads as required.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain a definitive library for OS images, applications, product guides, and device firmware .
  • Maintain and update system and configuration documentation .
  • Track and manage IT assets and software licenses/subscriptions .
  • Coordinate with vendors for support, procurement, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and maintain SLAs , ensuring timely escalations when required.
  • Log and track incident, service, and change requests using the helpdesk tool.
  • Provide after-hours support for emergencies and perform occasional weekend maintenance.


Required Skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills .
  • Proven experience as a Linux and Windows Server Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of server and storage management .
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills .
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills .
  • Experience in reporting and documentation .


Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing Linux and Windows server environments .
  • Strong exposure to enterprise server infrastructure and IT operations.
