Job Description
A Japanese trading company based in the Czech Republic is seeking a new team member to support large-scale automotive projects. The company supplies machinery products, such as assembly lines and cutting tools, to clients across the EU and beyond. They are looking for a candidate with technical support and sales skills to join their expanding team.
SALARY: 60,000-90,000CZK depending on experience

LOCATION: Prague
Service Engineer Main Responsibilities:
•Install, test, and fine-tune machinery and cutting tools to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs to minimize downtime
• Provide hands-on technical support and training to clients, ensuring efficient equipment operation
• Manage spare parts inventory and create clear technical documentation for smooth operations
• Build strong client relationships, ideally, identifying opportunities for new projects and business growth during follow-ups
Service Engineer Ideal Candidate:
Essential Qualifications:
• Fluency in Czech and English
• Experience in customer-facing technical support, training, or service roles
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Polish or Japanese is an advantage
• Experience with machine tools, CNC machines, or cutting tools
• Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics
• Familiarity with Japanese business culture and work practices
• Understanding of electrical systems, including PLCs
Additional Information:
• Primary areas: Czech Republic and Poland, with occasional travel to Germany or Slovakia
• Expected travel: 8–10 days per month (mainly day trips, some overnight stays)
• Some projects may require week-long trips for installations and after-sales support
