Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 depending on experience plus overtime & benefits

Overview

Ashe is a market leader in world‑class slitting and rewinding machinery, with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. Based in Ipswich, we are looking to recruit a skilled Service/Installation Engineer to join our busy International Machine Support Department.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing and supporting production machinery worldwide
• Carrying out mechanical engineering tasks, servicing and repairs
• Working with PLCs, AC drive controls and machine controls
• Traveling internationally regularly while also being factory‑based when not on site

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production machine service/installation
• Electro‑mechanical engineering background
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, AC drive controls and machine controls
• Experience within the converting industry is advantageous but not essential
• Based locally in Ipswich or nearby, with the ability to be factory‑based when not travelling
• Willing to travel worldwide
