Job Overview

The Service Manager for Battery UPS Systems will operate in Hyderabad within a mid-level position. This full-time role requires proficiency in installation and service management, overseeing UPS monitoring, and managing battery buy-back operations. Requisite work experience ranges from a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 10 years. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills to successfully meet the demands of the position.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience of at least 7 years in service management for battery UPS systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding and practical application of the ITIL Framework.
  • Hands-on proficiency in installation and service management (Mandatory skill).
  • Expertise in monitoring UPS systems and promptly addressing service issues (Mandatory skill).
  • Experience in overseeing battery buy-back operations to ensure efficiency and compliance (Mandatory skill).
  • Skilled in incident management to swiftly identify and resolve problems.
  • Capability to manage vendor relations, ensuring quality service and product delivery.
  • Proficiency in using ServiceNow for service and operations management.
  • Strong problem management skills to prevent recurring issues and enhance system integrity.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the complete lifecycle of battery UPS systems installation and service.
  • Ensure proactive UPS monitoring and timely intervention to maintain peak system performance.
  • Coordinate and manage battery buy-back operations, ensuring environmentally safe disposal practices.
  • Implement and uphold service management standards as defined by ITIL.
  • Maintain solid relationships with vendors to ensure the continuous supply of quality products and services.
  • Use ServiceNow to manage and document all service requests, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Analyze and resolve incidents promptly to minimize downtime and service impact.
  • Oversee problem management activities to prevent issue recurrence and drive continuous improvement.
