SERVICE MANAGER/WORKSHOP MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager/Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy automotive workshop at our Bibra Lake location. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 3 skilled technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery to our valued customers.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING AN AUTOMOTIVE WORKSHOP FOR A USED CAR DEALERSHIP.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage and lead a team of automotive technicians, delegating tasks and monitoring performance
• Oversee the workshop operations, including job scheduling, parts ordering, and quality control
• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide timely, effective, and transparent communication
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workshop productivity and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety standards
• Prepare and analyse workshop reports, budgets, and KPIs to inform decision‑making
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer‑centric work environment

What we’re looking for

• Extensive experience (3+ years) in a service manager or workshop manager role within the automotive industry
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building lasting relationships
• Proficient in workshop management software, inventory control, and financial reporting
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in the automotive field
