Job Description:
- Service Now Custom Application Development Lead will be responsible to design develop and articulate solutions for custom applications development requirements to satisfy business needs using best practices This includes development and maintenance of various components technical documentation and implementation guides
- Custom App development Lead will be responsible for best practices guidance and support across implementations
- He she will work with team to develop enhance custom application features and capabilities
Role Responsibilities
- Implement standardization and best practice for Service Now custom application development implementation
- Design and develop custom applications and feature to satisfy business needs
- Design and Develop Flows Flow designer for custom applications and features
- Design and develop queries reports and dashboards
- Design and develop custom Workspace
- Develop Inbound Email Actions
- Develop and manage integrations in Service Now utilizing Service Now table APIs scripted Web Services and custom REST APIs
- Create and configure Business Rules UI Policies UI Actions Client Scripts SLAs Notifications and ACLs including advanced scripting of each
- Import data into Service Now utilizing Scheduled Jobs Flows Import Sets and Transform maps
- Enforce coding standards and convention across the development teams
- Assist in defining developing and implementing standards and best practices for maintaining the health performance and scalability of the custom app
- Implement prototyping and accelerating time from design to deployment
- Provide technical guidance in custom app development design and solution
- Work with customer team members to capture business requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions
- Define and review configuration and coding standards
- Proactive responsive and focused on anticipating future requirements and or issues
- Drive timely closure for issues requests amongst team members
- Develop clear and concise technical process user manual documentation
- Strong collaboration with stakeholders including internal customers stakeholders and vendors to understand challenges and gain consensus on improved system and operational solutions
- Must have experience in end to end implementation of Service Now Instance Upgrade
Technical and Industry Experience
- Industry and project experience of 6 years with Service Now
- At least 3 years hands on experience in developing custom app using App Engine and Flow Designer
- Experience in implementing custom applications which include but not limited to custom tables catalog items Flows script includes portal widgets ACLs and business rules
- Expertise with Java Script HTML and CSS
- Expertise in end to end implementation of Service Now Instance Upgrade
- Experience working in an IT Service Management ITIL Agile Dev Ops environment
- Expertise in Service Now Coding java script business rules client scripts UI Policies etc
- Knowledge on Service Now ITSM in Service Now
- Experience on REST SOAP based integrations
- Sound knowledge of industry standards and methodologies
- Strong analytical skills communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience of working with globally dispersed virtual teams across a number of disciplines
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaboration mindset both within and outside the immediate team
- Creative and solution oriented
- Willing to take on new challenges and drive them to completion

o Service Now Certified System Administrator CSA
o Service Now Certified Application Developer CAD
o Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist ITSM CIS ITSM
