Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in the Security Operations (SecOps) module to lead the design, development, and implementation of security-focused solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both out-of-the-box (OOB) and custom SecOps functionalities, along with a solid background in building service catalog items and integrations for security workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow SecOps modules, including:

o Security Incident Response (SIR) o Vulnerability Response (VR) o Threat Intelligence (TI)

• Develop and customize Service Catalog items for security use cases, including dynamic forms, workflows, and automation.

• Configure and enhance OOB SecOps functionalities and develop custom components as required.

• Collaborate with SOC teams, security analysts, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.

• Develop client-side and server-side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Scheduled Jobs).

• Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations with third-party security tools.

• Enforce secure development practices, RBAC controls, and platform governance.

• Work in Agile environments and mentor junior developers.

• Document technical solutions and configurations for knowledge sharing and audit readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SecOps modules (SIR, VR, TI).

• Expertise in Service Catalog development and workflow automation using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.

• Strong ServiceNow scripting skills (JavaScript-based client and server-side scripting).

• Experience with REST and SOAP integrations.

• Knowledge of RBAC, ACLs, and secure development practices.

• Experience with scoped applications, update sets, and platform lifecycle management.

• Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – SecOps

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator

• Familiarity with threat frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII)

• Knowledge of vulnerability and risk scoring standards (CVSS, NVD)

• Experience integrating tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Splunk, CrowdStrike, etc.
