Sessional Instructor, Practical Nursing

Position Summary

Applications are invited from qualified individuals to instruct in the Practical Nursing Diploma program at North Island College.

This sessional instructional assignment, up to 100%, involves teaching the practice course PNS 117: Consolidated Practice Experience 1 to a cohort of Practical Nursing students located at the Comox Valley St. Joe’s campus via a face-to-face delivery method.

NOTE: Practicum placements will take place in a variety of practice settings and may require travel. Applicants need to have access to reliable transportation.

The successful candidate will implement creative strategies in the preparation and delivery of practice activities; use initiative in providing documentation and follow-up with regard to student concerns and problem resolution; and, bring facilitation skills to management of conflict.
