Setting Out Engineer The Setting Out Engineer is responsible for the accurate setting out of civil engineering works in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and project programmes. The role supports the successful delivery of projects by ensuring works are constructed to the correct line, level, and alignment while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This will involve nationwide travel throughout Scotland. Key Responsibilities As a Setting Out Engineer , you will be required to: Set out civil engineering works accurately using GPS, total station, and traditional surveying equipment Use Trimble hardware and software for setting out, surveying, and data management Interpret drawings, specifications, and digital design models to ensure correct implementation on site Carry out topographical, control, and as-built surveys as required Establish and maintain site control points, datums, and benchmarks Check and verify line, level, and alignment of works ...
