Job Description

The Settlement & Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely settlement of all financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, resolving discrepancies, and supporting smooth operational processes within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly settlement and reconciliation activities
  • Reconcile transactions across internal systems, banks, payment gateways, and partners
  • Monitor settlement cycles and ensure timely fund movements
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation breaks and discrepancies
  • Prepare reconciliation statements, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and external partners to resolve settlement issues
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in settlement, reconciliation, or financial operations
  • Previous experience in fintech, banking, or payments industry is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
